About The Flamingo Life

What does The Flamingo Life sell?
The Flamingo Life is a bespoke luxury furniture brand based in India. We design and handcraft accent chairs, sofas, console tables, coffee tables, outdoor furniture, lighting, carpets, and curated decor — each piece made to order in our Delhi studio, blending Japandi minimalism with modern luxury.
Do you custom-make furniture to order?
Yes. Almost every piece at The Flamingo Life can be customised — size, upholstery fabric, wood finish, and leg or metal detailing. Share your requirements with us and our design team will confirm feasibility, lead time, and final pricing before production begins.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes, we offer free delivery across India. Most pieces arrive pre-assembled or with minimal setup, and white-glove installation is available for larger sofas, dining sets, and outdoor collections on request.
Is The Flamingo Life a recognised luxury furniture brand?
The Flamingo Life has been featured in Architectural Digest (AD) India and has supplied residences and boutique hospitality projects across India. Our craftsmanship-first approach — solid hardwoods, performance upholstery, and in-house finishing — is why designers and architects choose us for turnkey projects.
Where is The Flamingo Life based?
The Flamingo Life is headquartered in Delhi, India, where our in-house design studio and manufacturing workshop are co-located. Every piece is designed, crafted, and quality-checked under one roof before it ships.
What is The Flamingo Life's design philosophy?
We design at the intersection of Japandi minimalism and modern luxury — functional, considered, and timeless. Every curve, joint, and finish is intentional. We believe furniture should reveal its craftsmanship, not hide it.
Where can I see Flamingo Life furniture in person?
Our studio is in Delhi and welcomes visits by appointment. For clients outside Delhi, we provide detailed material samples, HD video walkthroughs, and in-home design consultations for trade and project clients. Contact us to schedule.

Sofas, Couches & Seating

What makes a sofa set 'luxury' vs mass-produced?
A luxury sofa set uses a kiln-dried hardwood frame (not plywood), 8-way hand-tied springs or high-density foam, feather-wrapped cushions, and full-grain leather or performance fabric upholstery — all built to last 15–20+ years. Mass-produced sofas typically cut corners on frame, springs, and foam density.
How long does a luxury sofa set last?
Our sofas are built for 15–20 years of daily use with a solid hardwood frame, reinforced joinery, and premium foam that retains shape. Leather ages beautifully; fabric covers can be professionally re-upholstered on the same frame when desired.
What is the lead time for a custom sofa set?
Custom modular and L-shape sofas typically ship in 6–8 weeks from order confirmation. In-stock configurations from our best-selling range ship within 2 weeks. We provide a fixed delivery date at the time of confirming your order.
Do you offer modular or L-shape sofa configurations?
Yes. Most of our luxury sofa sets can be ordered in 2-seater, 3-seater, L-shape (left or right chaise), or modular sectional formats. We also build curved sofas and custom sectionals to fit unusual floor plans — share a sketch and we'll engineer the frame.
Which sofa fabric is best for Indian homes?
For Indian homes with dust, humidity, and occasional spills, performance fabrics (Crypton, Sunbrella-style, Aquaclean) resist stains and clean up with water. Boucle and velvet are elegant choices for low-traffic formal living rooms. Leather ages beautifully but needs conditioning twice a year.
Can sofa cushions be replaced or re-stuffed later?
Yes. Our sofa cushions have zippered covers with replaceable foam cores. After 7–10 years of heavy use, foam cores can be refreshed in our workshop for a fraction of a new sofa's cost. Covers can also be re-upholstered in a new fabric on the same frame.

Accent Chairs & Recliners

What is an accent chair and where should I place one?
An accent chair is a standalone upholstered chair designed to add style, colour, or texture to a room — not as primary seating. It's typically placed beside a sofa, in a reading nook, bedroom corner, or home office. Our accent chairs range from structured wingbacks to sculptural boucle tub chairs and Japandi lounge chairs.
Are boucle accent chairs a good choice for Indian homes?
Yes — boucle fabric is one of the most durable, texture-rich upholstery options and holds up well in Indian climates when paired with a solid wood frame and high-resilience foam. We offer boucle accent chairs in cream, off-white, camel, and charcoal, all made to order.
Can accent chairs be upholstered in my own fabric?
Yes. We accept COM (Customer's Own Material) orders for most accent chair frames, or you can choose from our curated fabric catalogue of boucle, velvet, linen blend, and performance fabrics. COM orders need fabric delivered to our studio before production begins.
What makes a recliner a 'luxury' recliner?
A luxury recliner uses a solid hardwood frame, a near-silent German or Italian reclining mechanism, high-density foam with memory layers, and premium leather or performance fabric — with bespoke silhouettes (wingback, lounge, swivel). Our signature recliners are designed to look like accent chairs, not mechanical furniture.
What is the warranty on a Flamingo Life recliner?
Frames carry a 5-year structural warranty. Reclining mechanisms (including motors) are covered for 2 years. Upholstery and foam are warranted against manufacturing defects for 1 year. Service visits in major Indian cities are included during the warranty period.

Tables — Console, Coffee & Center

What is a console table used for?
A console table is a slim, long table typically placed against a wall — in an entryway, hallway, behind a sofa, or as a TV unit. It holds decor, table lamps, books, or keys, and anchors a space visually without taking up floor depth. Our luxury console tables are designed to double as both functional storage and a statement piece.
What materials do your luxury console tables come in?
Our console tables are crafted in solid oak, teak, and sheesham, often paired with marble or travertine tops, brushed brass or blackened metal legs, and louvre or cane detailing. Each finish — matte, gloss, or natural oil — is hand-applied in our Delhi workshop.
What is a Japandi coffee table?
A Japandi coffee table blends Japanese minimalism (low profiles, natural wood, honest joinery) with Scandinavian warmth (soft curves, light tones, functional design). The result is a low-slung, understated piece — often in oak, ash, or light walnut — that grounds a living room without overwhelming it.
How do I style a Japandi coffee table?
Follow the rule of three: a stack of two coffee table books, a ceramic or stone object, and something organic like a small branch or bonsai. Leave 60% of the table surface empty — negative space is core to Japandi design. Skip clutter; edit ruthlessly.
Are marble center tables high-maintenance?
Our marble center tables come with a protective sealant applied during production that resists spills and light staining. Wipe spills promptly, use coasters under hot drinks, and re-seal annually (a 15-minute DIY job) — and marble stays pristine for decades.
What is an entryway console table for?
An entryway console table creates a landing surface in your foyer for keys, mail, a small lamp, and decor — and visually defines the entry zone from the rest of the home. It's both functional and the first impression a guest gets of your space.

Dining Sets

What defines a Japandi dining table set?
A Japandi dining set combines a clean-lined wooden table — usually in oak, ash, or light walnut — with low-back or curved dining chairs, often upholstered in boucle, linen, or natural leather. The silhouette is pared-back and functional, without ornamentation.
How many seats should I plan for?
For a family of 4, a 150–180 cm rectangular table seats 4–6 comfortably. For 6–8 regular diners, go 200–220 cm. Round Japandi tables seat 4 at 110 cm diameter and 6 at 130 cm. We customise table length to your exact room dimensions.
Can I order a Japandi dining set as a bundle?
Yes. Order the table and coordinating chairs together and we'll bundle pricing and ensure matching finishes, stain tones, and fabric pairings. Standard sets are 1 table + 4 or 6 chairs; extensions and benches can be added.

Outdoor, Rattan & Waterproof Furniture

Which outdoor furniture is best for Indian weather?
For Indian balconies, terraces, and gardens — where furniture faces monsoon humidity, UV, and dust — we recommend pieces made in UV-stabilised rope, all-weather synthetic rattan, powder-coated aluminium, and marine-grade teak. All outdoor pieces from The Flamingo Life are built with these weather-tested materials.
Is your outdoor furniture waterproof?
Our waterproof outdoor collection uses rustproof aluminium or stainless frames, quick-dry foam cushions with water-repellent covers, and UV-stable weaves that won't crack or fade in direct sun. Cushions can be left outdoors through light rain; we recommend storing or covering during heavy monsoon.
Is rattan furniture suitable for Indian homes?
Yes. Our luxury rattan furniture uses synthetic (all-weather) rattan over aluminium or solid wood frames — so it holds up to Indian humidity, UV, and monsoon far better than natural cane. It works indoors (living rooms, bedrooms) and outdoors (balconies, terraces) equally well.
Is waterproof furniture pool-safe?
Yes. Our waterproof and pool-side furniture resists chlorine, salt, and UV. The frames are marine-grade aluminium or powder-coated steel, and cushions use solution-dyed fabric that won't fade or mildew. Ideal for swimming pool decks, rooftop pools, and coastal properties.
Can outdoor furniture be customised for a balcony or garden project?
Yes. We routinely supply made-to-measure outdoor furniture for penthouses, villas, and hospitality projects — including modular sofas, dining sets, daybeds, and swings. Share your space dimensions and we'll quote a custom set within 48 hours.

Carpets & Rugs

What is a hand-tufted carpet?
Hand-tufted carpets are made on a stretched canvas backing by pushing individual yarns through with a tufting gun, then hand-finishing and binding the edges. They combine the craftsmanship feel of hand-knotted rugs with a faster, more affordable process — and offer unlimited design freedom.
Can I order a custom-size or custom-design carpet?
Yes. Hand-tufted carpets are our strongest custom category — you can order any size, colour palette, and design motif. Share your room dimensions and a reference image; we'll render a full-scale digital proof before production begins. Lead time is 8–12 weeks.
How do I clean a hand-tufted wool carpet?
Vacuum weekly (without the beater bar, which can pull fibres), spot-clean spills immediately with a damp cloth — never scrub — and arrange professional dry cleaning every 12–18 months. Avoid wet-cleaning at home as moisture can seep into the canvas backing.

Interior Projects & Turnkey Supply

What is turnkey furniture supply?
Turnkey furniture supply means we design, manufacture, deliver, and install all furniture for a project — residence, villa, boutique hotel, or office — as a single managed scope. You get one project manager, one contract, one lead time, and a fully-furnished space on handover day.
Do you work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. Trade clients receive priority lead times, project pricing, full technical drawings, CAD files, and material samples. We've supplied large-format residential projects, boutique hospitality, and designer-led villas across India.
How do I get a quote for a turnkey furniture project?
Share your floor plan, design references, and scope (room count, styling preferences, budget range). We'll respond within 48 hours with a feasibility note, and within 7 days with a detailed room-by-room quote and 3D visualisations for approval.
